Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR VOLVO UNTIL WE STARTED TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH TIRE WEAR. THE WEAR AVERAGE WE GOT WE GOT OUT OF OUR STEER TIRES WERE 66,000 A SET. WE STARTED OFF WITH MICHELIN, THEN WENT TO KELLY, THEN TO GOODYEAR WHICH SEEMED TO GET BETTER.

20000202TIRES

WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE TRUCK I WAS RUNNING I-10 AND HAD LOTS OF PROBLEMS WITH LUGS BREAKING ON THE FRONT TIRES AND CONTINUALLY REPLACED THEM NEVER REALLY FINDING THE PROBLEM THAT WAS CAUSING IT. I HAVE HAD LOTS OF TROUBLE KEEPING THE FRONT END IN ALIGNMENT AS THE TIRE ROD ENDS, SPRING HANGERS, BUSHINGS AND PINS HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED MORE THAN USUAL. AFTER ABOUT 25-30 THOUSAND MILES THE FRONT TIRES WOULD BEAT OUT AND HAVE TO BE REPLACED. IN DESPERATION I EVEN HAD BOTH FRONT WHEELS REPLACE IN CASE OF DEFECTS IN THE WHEELS. THIS HELPED TO A DEGREE BUT THE LUGS HAVE STARTED BREAKING AGAIN. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW WHAT CAUSES THE PROBLEM AND WHAT.
