SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:CONTROLS:PROPORTIONING RELAY VALVE
Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2023-2025 New VN trucks. The brakes may take longer than expected to activate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
The truck was involved in a head on collision at 64mph and the drivers air bag did not deploy. Although the accident was caused by another driver going the wrong way on the highway I am concerned with the fact that the air bag did not deploy
