Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2022 V60CC is electrical system with 1 filings, followed by latches/locks/linkages:hatchback/liftgate:lock (1) and latches/locks/linkages:doors:latch (1). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. NHTSA currently has 28 investigation files overlapping the 2022 V60CC. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. STEERING
Volvo Car USA, LLC (Volvo Car) is recalling certain 2019-2022 V60CC, XC60, and XC90 vehicles. During steering gear assembly, double screws may have been assembled on top of each other, which can cause a screw to fall into the gearbox housing.
I have an ongoing but intermittent problem with door and hatch releases on my 2022 Volvo wagon. The car has been looked at several times and the dealer can't find the problem. My hatch popped open while driving on RT 395 at 55. My doors either won't open from the outside or alternatively from the inside using the remote. Both remote keys have been tested with the same results. Driver's door and front passenger door are the most frequent problems. As soon as I click on upload my documents the link disappears. I have video of attempts to open the doors both from the inside and the outside. I am most concerned about being stuck inside the car in an emergency but outside in the city at night is also a concern. I was working in a high crime area in Baltimore.
