TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FASHION 250 SCOOTER (NA). WHILE RIDING 55 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD STRANGE NOISES COMING FROM THE MUFFLER. SHORTLY AFTERWARDS, THE DRIVESHAFT WOULD NOT MOVE AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SHOP AND THEY REPAIRED THE EXHAUST AND DRIVESHAFT. SIX WEEKS LATER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. IN ADDITION, THE REAR WHEEL BEARINGS CAME APART AND CAUSED THE REAR WHEEL TO FLATTEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BE REPAIRED AGAIN. THREE WEEKS LATER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VIN, NUMBER OF CYLINDERS, POWERTRAIN, AND FUEL SYSTEM WERE UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 8,400.
