ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR OR CAM POSITION SENSOR MAY HAVE AN IMPROPER SOLDER JOINT DUE TO SOLDER DEFORMATION CAUSED BY HEAT STRESS ACCELERATED BY THE EXISTENCE OF FLUX RESIDUE DURING THE SOLDERING PROCESS.

ON CERTAIN PASSENGER AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, THE FUEL FILLER HOSE MAY CRACK AND RESULT IN FUEL LEAKAGE FROM THE HOSE WHILE REFUELING.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE SMELL WOULD DISSIPATE AND WAS PRESENT BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NEW; HOWEVER, THE ODOR REMAINED. I OWN A 2003 NISSAN 350Z WHICH WAS PURCHASED IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR. THE CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 4,000 MILES TO DATE. I WAS RECENTLY IN AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT WHERE THE RESULT OF THE CRASH WAS IN THE FRONT OF MY CAR. I WAS TRAVELING 30-35 MILES AN HOUR WHEN THE CRASH OCCURRED. *AK THANKFULLY I WAS WEARING MY SEATBELT BECAUSE MY AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY WHILE THE PASSENGER SIDE DID DEPLOY.
