Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated while driving on the highway at 55 MPH, there was an abnormal popping sound coming from the front passengerâs side, and the vehicle started to skid. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over onto the side of the road to park and inspect the vehicle and became aware that the front passengerâs side lower ball joint was fractured. The vehicle was towed to a local independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the lower ball joint was fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 213,000.
