Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated while at a stop, the vehicle stalled. The contact attempted to depress accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to accelerate. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was diagnosed with evaporative canister failure. The vehicle was repaired five additional times after the first failure; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 74,459.
