VOLKSWAGEN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2009 AND 2010 PASSENGER CARS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 2008 AND AUGUST 2009. THE WIRING HARNESS OF A TEMPERATURE SENSOR IN THE DIRECT SHIFT GEARBOX (DSG) MAY HAVE CONNECTOR WIRES THAT WERE INSUFFICIENTLY CRIMPED. WITH INSUFFICIENTLY CRIMPED CONNECTOR

The warning light went on engine oil pressure off. Search manual. Then it wouldn't start. But lights where on so we put a new starter. But it wouldn't turn the engine. So We thought it must be the battery needs a jump start. And then wire from battery to starter caught on fire? I Googled the problem, and found that there had been recalls for that faulty wire before.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WHEN I HAD TO MAKE A SUDDEN STOP. MY BRAKES LOCKED UP AND MY ABS, BRAKE, AND ESC LIGHTS CAME ON. I TRIED TO REGAIN CONTROL BUT ENDED UP SPINNING OUT ON THE FREEWAY AND HITTING THE GUARD RAIL. HAD TO FIX TAILLIGHT AND BUMPER IS SCRATCHED. THIS PROBLEM IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS BECAUSE WHEN I WAS BRAKING I WAS BRAKING UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT MY ABS SYSTEM WAS WORKING CORRECTLY AND I DID NOT PUMP THE BRAKES. THE BOSCH ABS BRAKE PUMP HAS FAILED. THIS CAUSES THE BRAKES TO LOSE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL CAPABILITY IN THE EVENT OF HARD BRAKING EVENT. I'VE OWNED THE VEHICLE ROUGHLY SIX OR SEVEN MONTHS AND UNDER HARD BRAKING, SHARP TURNS/MANEUVERS OR QUICK ACCELERATION I WOULD RANDOMLY GET THE ABS, TRACTION CONTROL AND FLASHING E-BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATED IN MY GAUGE CLUSTER. WHILE TRAVELING AT 55 MPH IN SIXTH GEAR ON THE NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY, I SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND THE ENGINE ABRUPTLY TURNED OFF. I CONSEQUENTLY QUICKLY DECELERATED AND WAS ALMOST REARENDED BEFORE BEING ABLE TO TURN ONTO THE SHOULDER. I SMELLED A BURNING ODOR AND GOT OUT OF MY CAR. EVENTUALLY, THE VW DEALERSHIP ADVISED ME THAT THE #2 COIL HAD FAILED AND CAUGHT FIRE. CONSEQUENTLY, THE WIRING HARNESS FOR THE IGNITION COIL AND PLASTIC COVER SURROUNDING THE COIL HAD BEEN DESTROYED BY THE FIRE.
