AT 5 A.M. I WAS TRAVELLING AT 65 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN I SAW A DEER CROSS IN FRONT OF ME. I IMMEDIATELY HIT THE BRAKES. ONE REAR BRAKE LOCKED. I STRUCK AND KILLED A LARGE DEER. THE GRILL SHATTERED, THE RADIATOR CRUSHED AND PUSHED BACK INTO THE ENGINE. THE BATTERY WIRES FUSED TOGETHER AND THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHUT DOWN. MY TWO CHILDREN (18 AND 17) AND I WERE BRUISED AND SHAKEN. THE AIRBAG NEVER DEPLOYED.
