THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SEATS FRACTURED, THROWING THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER INTO THE DASH BOARD. THE SEAT THEN MOVED BACKWARD INDEPENDENTLY. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 1998 PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER INSERTED THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION AND TURNED IT INTO THE ACCESSORY POSITION WHEN THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE ARMS, CHEST AND WRIST. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS WATER INTRUSION, WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED THE FAILURE.
