New Car Assessment Program

The 2007NISSANTITAN carries 195 consumer safety complaints in NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation database for this specific model-year cohort. Within that volume, owners reported 6 crashes, 4 fires, 5 injuries, and 0 fatalities. No NCAP 5-star crash-test rating is available for this model year in the federal database.

Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2007 TITAN is power train with 46 filings, followed by power train:driveline (16) and service brakes (11). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 2 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.

NHTSA currently has 54 investigation files overlapping the 2007 TITAN, and 5 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

The rear differential and axle has an inevitable failure with no warning lights or much anything else besides some possible noises! The vent designs are terrible it causes overheating and internal turmoil over time seals start leaking, bearings and internal gears Get weak from over hot /cold repeated cycles allowing moisture to build and accumulate in the 3rd member where it’s supposed to be completely sealed and dry other then gear oil to lube and maintain proper function. My personal and current experience is I’m without my truck, missing work and very . Very thankful that it didn’t lock up on the highway/freeway that I drive too and from work about 85 miles daily! The best part is there’s no fast cost efficient resolution! the differential open carrier with spider gears held in place by a shaft pin and tiny 8 mm bolt that broke causing the pin to slide back and forth (pinball effect) into the ring /pinion, side gears, spider gears untill it either gets jammed in the gears

2007 TITAN LE 4WD, WITH 72,000 MILES. IN DEC 2018 MY RIGHT TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR WOULD FLASH ONCE AND QUIT WHILE DRIVING BUT ISSUE IS REPLICATED DRIVING OR STATIONARY, ENGINE ON OR OFF. I HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED AND HITTING THE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL TRIPPED IT OFF, AS IF I'D TAPPED THE BRAKES. A WEEK EARLIER, I STARTED HAVING INTERMITTENT ISSUES WITH MY BACKUP SONAR WARNING SYSTEM THEN COMPLETE FAILURE. LATER TROUBLESHOOTING THE TURN SIGNAL ISSUE, I REALIZED WHEN I HIT THE BRAKE, THE RIGHT FRONT TURN LAMP WOULD ILLUMINATE WHILE THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. I REALIZED IF I HELD OR RODE THE BRAKE PEDAL, THEN ENGAGED THE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL, THE RIGHT TURN LAMPS AND INDICATOR WORKED NORMAL, UNTIL I RELEASED THE BRAKE, THEN THE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL LAMPS WOULD QUIT. ALSO NOTICED THAT ALL CLEARANCE LAMPS, TAIL AND STOP LAMPS FLUCTUATED A LITTLE IN SYNC WITH THE TURN SIGNAL OPERATION. I REALIZE I'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL SHORT. CHECKED WHAT I COULD AND COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM AND DECID

THE REAR AXLE SEALS ON MY 2007 NISSAN TITAN CONTINUE TO LEAK GEAR OIL. I HAVE REPLACED THE SEALS THREE TIMES INCLUDING PURCHASING AND REPLACING THE ENTIRE AXLE SHAFT, SEAL AND SPACER ASSEMBLY ON THE THIRD TIME. THESE WERE 2 AXLE SHAFT ASSEMBLIES WHICH COST ME OVER $1000. I HAVE ALSO INSTALLED A BREATHER TUBE ON THE REAR AXLE AND INSURED IT IS ALLOWING AIR TO GET IN AND VENT THE REAR AXLE. IT'S BEEN A FEW MONTHS AFTER INSTALLATION AND THE SEALS ARE LEAKING AGAIN. MY REAR BRAKES AND PARKING BRAKE ARE SOAKED WITH OIL AND THE PARKING BRAKE NO LONGER HOLDS THE TRUCK IN PLACE WHEN PARKED ON A INCLINE/DECLINE.
