June 2025 rear door locks stopped working. (Odometer 12,538) I was unable to lock/unlock doors with key fob or with inside driver's door lock/unlock button. Repaired 06/10/2025 at Mentor Nissan, 44060, by replacement of parts #82500-6R0B & 82501-6R0B: CONTROLLER-LOCK in both rear doors. Incident #2: Feb 2026 front driver-side door lock became inoperable, the same as had occurred with the rear door locks. I'm at Nissan Mentor today (02/17/2026) for evaluation & repair. (Odometer 15,200) Both of these door lock issues resulted in inability to enter/exit vehicle. Very dangerous if someone were unable to exit vehicle in emergency. Otherwise a big inconvenience requiring one to climb over other seats to enter/exit vehicle. The car is under extended warranty. June 2025 I paid $100 deductible plus tax & fee, totaling $110.21. Today's repair cost to be determined. In each incident there were no warning lamps or messages. Both issues began with intermittent lock/unlock failure, then escalat

MY REAR BACK UP CAMERS STOPPED WORKING. I TOOK THE CAR TO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER. I BOUGHT THE EXTENDED WARRENTY FOR ELECTRONICS SO THEY REPLACED THE CAMERA TO NO AVAIL. THEN THEY REPLACED THE A/V CONTROL UNIT WHICH DID NOT FIX THE PROBELM. AT THAT TIME THEY ADVISED ME THE REAR WIPER GROMMET LEAKED WATED WHICH CAUSED THE CAMERA CONNECTOR TO CORRODE. THEY ADVISED ME TO FIX THIS I MUST REPLACE THE TAILGATE. THERE IS NO REPAIR FOR THIS. I HAVE SEEN POSTING ON FACEBOOK AND OTHER PLACES SHOWING I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON THIS IS HAPPENING TO. THE DEALER KNEW ABOUT IT BUT WHEN I QUESTIONED IF IT WAS A KNOWN ISSUE THET PLAYED DUMB I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS I HAVE NO REAR CAMERA NOW

I am reporting a safety defect for my 2021 Nissan Rogue with approximately 140,000 miles. The vehicle has repeatedly overheated, emitted white smoke from the dipstick area and the exhaust, lost coolant, and produced no cabin heat. The engine rattles and shakes. I previously had a recall fixed at Nissan related to the ECU, but these issues persist. I’ve also had regular maintenance on the vehicle and replaced the starter as well. I believe this relates to the known engine defect in these models. I am concerned for my safety and need this addressed.

This fluctuation continues for several minutes after pumping gas. The vehicle also struggles to start, requiring multiple attempts before turning on. On multiple occasions, the engine has shut off unexpectedly while the vehicle was in motion. This issue poses a safety risk because the vehicle can stall while driving, which increases the risk of a collision, especially in traffic or at higher speeds. The inaccurate fuel gauge also makes it difficult to determine the actual fuel level, increasing the risk of running out of fuel unexpectedly. Back window glass exploded into car and onto garage floor. Had just started car and put in reverse when loud explosion occurred and stopped the car to inspect. Found entire back window shattered and pieces resting inside car trunk, rear seats, and garage floor. Insurer had Safelite come to replace the window but technician could not complete the replacement since the black plastic wiper motor plastic assembly was cracked. Just found a new motor assembly at Nissan Dealer (Capitol in Wilmington, NC) and purchased out of pocket for $380.68 after negotiating a reduction of $200 with the dealer. Also, have a $250 deductible and Safelite charge for new wiper arm and blade $47.

Vehicle Safety Complaint – Fuel Leak I am reporting a serious safety issue with my vehicle. Vehicle: Nissan Rogue 2021 There is a fuel leak from underneath the fuel tank area, and a strong gasoline odor inside the cabin. The smell is noticeable while driving and when the vehicle is parked. This creates a fire and explosion hazard, and I believe the vehicle is unsafe to operate. The manufacturer/dealer informed me that the warranty has expired and refused to cover the repair. No accident occurred, but the fuel leak is ongoing and presents an immediate safety risk. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed as a potential safety defect.

Rear Window "exploded" while car was parked at a private residence driveway, 50 degree day, foggy morning. No one was in car at time in this case.

There is play in the seat. Unnerving that the seat moves without any manual intervention or undue force. The movement occurs u see braking and/or acceleration. When reported to Nissan dealer, was informed that it was not covered under standard or extended warranty plans. 2021 year model with 27800 miles, noticed this movement in our previous 2019 model as well.

The driver’s seat heating element appears to have failed and caused the seat material to burn. The damaged seat and its components are still in my possession and available for inspection upon request. The malfunction caused the seat to catch fire while the vehicle was in use, creating a risk of burns, smoke inhalation, and a potential full vehicle fire. This posed a significant danger to my safety and the safety of any passengers. Not yet. The issue has not been reproduced, but the physical damage clearly indicates a failure of the heating element. I am planning to have it evaluated by a dealer or an independent service center. Not yet. No inspection has been done so far by Nissan, law enforcement, or insurance, but I intend to contact my insurance provider and the dealership for official inspection and documentation. There were no warning lights, messages, or unusual symptoms before the failure occurred. The fire started suddenly while the seat heater was in use.

The contact owns a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 20 MPH, the vehicle suddenly stopped in the middle of the roadway. The contact exited the vehicle to inspect the vehicle and discovered that the front driver’s and passenger’s side wheels were pointed inward. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the tie rods had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was made aware of NHTSA Action Number: PE24020 (Steering) and related the failure to the NHTSA Action Number. The failure mileage was 52,000.

Head gaskets failed at 120,000 miles and had to replace engine. Now transmission failed at 180,000. This car is mostly used for airport taxi so mostly freeway miles.
