Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 2 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 54 investigation files overlapping the 2016 NV200, and 5 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. The red dash airbag light began flashing continuously approximately 4 months ago. I took it to a neighborhood automobile repair shop where the problem was diagnosed. They explained that only a Nissan dealership could make the repair. I took the car to Reliable Nissan in Albuquerque, NM on October 1, 2024. I was told the parts (98856-9SE0A Controller Assy-Occupant Sensor, and 98853-3JACA Sen-Occupant) would need to be ordered with a dealer-provided ETA of October 17, 2024. I paid $752.77 for the parts ordered on October 1, 2024. I was called back to the dealership for the repairs and was told the wrong parts were shipped and that I would have to come back when the correct parts arrived. They had no ETA for the correct parts arrival. I have reached out to the dealership and the Nissan National Consumer Affairs department. I have had six interactions with the National Consumer Affairs department. Each time I'm told there is NO ETA for the OSA sensor. I believe this is a safety
I was hit while driving by another vehicle going 65 miles per hour. He hit me on the passenger side. Upon impact, all the airbags exploded shattering in thousands of pieces hitting me like shrapnels in my eyes, face, hands, neck, lungs. I was temporarily blinded, so I hit another car. I spent 10 days in the hospital. I have problems in my lungs, my eyes, lost my teeth, and I am scared for life.
My passenger airbag warning light stays on even if someone is sitting in the seat and my airbag warning light on dash stays on. I ve had diagnostics run on vehicle and there are no codes. They donât know what to fix to clear the lights. I canât get my car inspected with the lights on so now I canât drive it. There is a recall on this specific thing but Nissan says not for my van. 1. On September 9, 2021, my 2016 NV 200 suddenly and unexpectedly broke down in Gila Bend AZ on a trip from the Bay Area to Austin to visit my grandchild. After refueling and pulling back onto the road towards the Interstate 8 on-ramp, the vehicle suddenly died. It was extremely difficult to steer it towards the side of the road and the ignition was inoperable. 2. I was unable to get the vehicle completely off the road and semi's were honking at me because I was dangerously in their path. There could easily have been a collision. I called 911 and the Arizona State Troopers pushed it all the way onto the shoulder. I then had it towed to the Tempe Nissan dealership 3. The problem was diagnosed by Tempe Nissan. It appeared that the cause of the breakdown was a blown fuel pump fuse. They also replaced the battery. They attempted to do a wheel alignment but could not because the inner tie rod was bent so they also replaced the steering rack to bring the alignment back to factory spec
