MACK TRUCK HAS ADMITTED TO A FAILURE IN THERE ALUMINUM FUEL TANKS DUE TO ELECTROLISIS BETWEEN THE MOUNTING BRACKETS & THE TANK. THEY EXTENDED A ONE YEAR WARRANTY TO FIVE YEARS & NEVER INFORMED ANY OWNERS OF THE PROBLEM. THESE TRUCKS USUALLY PUT MORE THAN 250,00 MILES ON THEM IN THE TIME FRAME WE HAVE THIS ONE, WE DON'T USE IT OFTEN. ISN'T IT A SAFTY MATTER FOR MACK TO HAVE INFORMED ALL OWNERS OF THIS PROBLEM? WHAT IF THESE LEAKS CAUSE AN EXPLOSION & KILLS THE DRIC=VER OR VEHICAL CLOSE TO THEM AT THE TIME OF AN INCIDENT. I HAVE CALLED MACK OF NORTH. IL. & MACK CUSTOMER SERVICE & AM NOT GETTING ANYWHERE. NOT ONLY IS THIS AN UNSAFE CONDITION, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE ENVIORMENTAL IMPACT THESE LEAKY TANKS ARE CAUSING TO OUR ENVIORMENT. PLEASE GET BACK TO ME WHAT MY ALTERNITIVES ARE. *AK
