WE WERE DRIVING DOWN INTER=STATE 101 WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY ENGINE BEGAN SPUDDERING AND STOPPED RIGHT BY AN EXIT. WE PUSHED THE CAR IN FRONT OF AN MC DONALDS..ALL OF THE OIL POURED OUT OF THE ENGINE.WE HAD IT TOWED BENEDETTI BROS REPAIR ON SEBASTOPOL CALIF..THEY STATED THE MAIN OIL HOSE EXPLODED AND RUINED THE ENGINE..THEY DID STATE THAT THIS VERY SAME MAKE MODEL AND YEAR HAD A RECALL FOR THIS VERY REASON..I RETURNED MY CAR TO JAQUAR OF MARIN IN CORTE MADERO CALIF WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR AND TO NO AVAIL COULD I GET IT REPLACED UNDER THE RECALL..I WROTE TO WASH DC AND TO NEW JERSEY AND WAS TURNED DOWN BY BOTH AGENCY,S..EVEN THOUGH THIS VIN NUMBER WASN'T COVERED I THINK IT IS DEPLORABLE THAT THE VERY SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY CAR WHICH WAS THE SAME MAKE MODEL AND YEAR THAT JAQUAR RECALLED..PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHY? CONVERTIBLE TOP GOE'S HALF WAY DOWN AND GREEN FLUID FLOWS INTO CABIN DOWN REARVIEW MIRROR AND WON'T GO BACK UP.THIS PROBLEM HAS A NAME, THE GREEN SHOWER PROBLEM, THAT JAGUAR HAS NOT ACKNOWLEDGED, AND KNOW'S ABOUT.. IT HAS HAPPENED TO THOUSANDS OF OTHER OWNERS.IT IS A DANGEROUS SAFETY PROBLEM, SERIOUS.CAR WAS IN STOP POSITION.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JAGUAR XKR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OIL LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS MOVED TO THE SHOULDER WHERE OIL WAS ADDED TO THE ENGINE. UPON ADDING, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE OIL HAD LEAKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE OIL COOLER FEED PIPE HOSE LINE HAD RUPTURED AND THE CYLINDERS WERE DAMAGED BY LACK OF OIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 61,000. ..UPDATED 02/25/13 *BF THE MECHANIC AT THE REPAIR SHOP INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THERE WAS A CAMPAIGN OUT FOR HIS MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR. HOWEVER, WHEN THE REPAIR FACILITY CALLED THE DEALER, HE WAS INFORMED THE CAMPAIGN HAD EXPIRED AND THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED EVEN THOUGH THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME SYMPTOMS. THE CONSUMER PROVIDED RECEIPTS, PROVING HE HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED FOR OIL CHANGES. UPDATED 03/13/13

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JAGUAR XK8. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO LOOSE ALL POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, WHICH DETERMINED THAT THE THROTTLE SENSOR WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD PERFORM AN INVESTIGATION AND THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING A RESPONSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 18,100.
