VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN INTO A SMALL DRIVE IN RESTAURANT AND CAR WAS ALMOST STOPPED WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PULLED ITSELF TO THE FLOOR AS IF THE CRUISE CONTROL HAD TAKEN OVER AND THE CAR INSTANTLY RAN ACROSS A DRIVEWAY AND INTO THE SIDE OF A BUILDING WHICH WAS APPROXIMATELY A DISTANCE OF ABOUT 15 FEET. THE VEHICLE ENGINE HAD BEEN RUNNING A LITTLE FAST AT IDLE AND HAD BEEN TO PALMETTO JAGUAR AT 1634 SAVANNAH HWY.CHARLESTON,SC 29407 APPROX. 2 WEEKS BEFORE THIS INCIDENT AND THEY HAD INDICATED THAT THERE HAD BEEN SOME PROBLEMS AND THAT THE MFG. HAD SENT OUT A NOTICE TO DO A REPROGRAM OF THE CARBURATION SYSTEM AND THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED AT THAT TIME. THIS DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM.
