REQUESTED $330 TO REPAIR/REPLACE. BY COINCIDENCE, THE BUCKLE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE ASSEMBLY FAILED IN EXACTLY THE SAME WAY ONLY HOURS AFTER INITIAL REPORT FILED. WHILE BOTH BUCKLES CAN BE CONNECTED, THEY CANNOT EASILYT BE REMOVED, AND REPRESENT A DANGEROUS SAFETY HAZARD IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. EXITING THE VEHICLE WOULD BE MORE DIFFICULT. BELIEVE THAT REPAIR/REPLACEMENT OF BUCKLES COULD BE COVERED AS PART OF LIFETIME WARRANTY OF VEHICLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM. REFUSAL TO COVER AS WARRANTY ITEM IS AGAINST SPIRIT AND INTENT OF VEHICLE SAFETY REGULATIONS.

SINCE SYSTEM IS NOT FULLY OPERATIVE WITH DEFECTIVE BUCKLE, BELIEVE THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO CIRCUMVENT THE VEHICLE SAFETY REGULATIONS. IT VIOLATES THE SPIRIT, IF NOT THE LETTER, OF THE SAFETY REGULATIONS. AM CONCERNED THAT INOPERATIVE BUCKLE COULD BE A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD IN EVENT OF CRASH, AS IT WOULD MAKE EXIT FROM VEHICLE DIFFICULT. MFG.
