NHTSA currently has 2 investigation files overlapping the 2018 F-TYPE. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. The car sometimes has a hard time to start engine. I have to pump the gas pedal numerous times quickly to finally get the car to start. Other times the car starts normally . Also sometimes when the engine is on and in the park position ; the engine may turn off. The auto off button has been eliminated from the problem because I turn that off; so this issue should not be associated with that component . Perhaps it’s a failing fuel pump or perhaps the valves get stuck flooding the carb making it too lean. I still have not figured out the issue but I am concerned driving the car since sometimes I won’t start .
