Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2021 VOYAGER is electrical system with 4 filings, followed by unknown or other (4) and steering (3). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 2 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 88 investigation files overlapping the 2021 VOYAGER, and 7 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Pacifica and 2021 Voyager vehicles. The second-row seat-to-floor mounting latch may bind and stick open, preventing the seat from properly securing to the floor. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehi
I was driving in the highway and my steering became so stiff that I could barely turn the wheel. It wasnât just stiff, It was almost impossible to make a turn unless I use all my strength and turn the wheel with both of my hands. . It made me pull over the car and get it towed to the dealership. This was very dangerous because I couldnât react to oncoming traffic or make regular turns on the street safely. There is no way people should be driving these cars if the power steering can go down with no warning. I couldâve hit somebody and caused a major accident on the highway. This needs to be recalled.

The steering wheel sticks when exiting a turn, this can be reproduced on every turn. There is a risk of overcompensating steering if you do not anticipate the steering wheel sticking. There is also a vague spot in the steering when driving in a straight line, the vehicle will drift to one side and when you correct it will drift to the other side. Wheel alignment was checked and tires are in good condition. The dealer inspected the vehicle and confirmed the steering problem, the steering components were replaced by the dealer and this corrected the steering problem. The were no warning lights, no messages and no sounds emanating from the steering. The vehicle was not in any accidents - to our knowledge.
I purchased a 2021 Chrysler Voyager in August 2024 from Apple Autos in Shakopee MN. When we purchased the car, there has always been a rough idle and were assured that this was due to the automatic start/engine. Around July 2025, I began experiencing engine issues that have persisted for over two months. Initial issues were a significant rough idle and car dying. We brought the car in and repaired both batteries and replaced all the spark plugs. The issues have persisted. Symptoms include overheating, coolant loss, and misfires on cylinder 3. Diagnostics suggest a head gasket failure. This issue poses a safety risk, especially if the engine fails while driving. Iâve attempted repairs, but the problem remains unresolved. Iâm concerned this may be a premature failure affecting other vehicles of the same model and engine type. There is no official recall for head gasket failure on the 2021 Chrysler Voyager, but there are numerous owner reports and forum discussions suggesting that e
After going through rapid acceleration, van will experience electrical issue which does not allow for acceleration and triggers auto stop to fail. The electrical issue prevents the van from accelerating while in motion on a highway. This issue has persisted every year, despite replacing both the main and auxiliary batteries. Both batteries have failed within a year and recently after a week of being replaced.
My rear camera is not working properly. This started around [XXX]. Also apparently my auto stop is no longer working this is the second time this has happened to me last year end of 8/24 - 9/24 I had it fixed at a dodge dealer in New Jersey and now it has happened again. I donât understand how in less then a year Iâm dealing with the same problem I really think I was sold a lemon. My back up camera has stopped working for months. There is open recalls for the same exact vehicles but not for my specific VIN. I am trying to get this fixed as soon as possible.

I was driving on a freeway. My car had no warning lights. Suddenly the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and the car lost all power. The engine was running, but the gas pedal was unresponsive. The transmission went to neutral. I was forced to coast to the side of the road. Luckily there was somewhere to go. Someone was trying to merge as I was slowing down. It was quite scary. Once the car stopped, it put it self into park and I was stuck. After about twenty minutes, the warning lights turned off and the car drove normally. This happened 3 more time. I finally parked the car. I took it to a mechanic, but said he couldn't work on it because Chrysler hadn't released the technical information for the diagnostic system. I tried cleaning the connections to the computer and the car ran great. The next day I tried driving to work and the car died again. I was going up hill and car quickly came to a stop in front someones driveway. I tried putting the car in neutral, so that I could drift back

In the 2 years that I owned the van I have walked away from the car after a journey and accidentally left the van running 3 times and my mechanic has done it once. 2 of those times it was left running all night. Once it ran out of gas. It seems to happen when I am distracted. The safety issue is that the van has no warning system when this happens and there is a lot of carbon monoxide released into the air. It could be lethal in an enclosed area. Also, note that it is a push button start and I have the key fob with me when this happens, so the fob is far away from the van and it is still running.
Our second row seat on the passenger side has a head rest that will not fold upright and lock into place. The seat itself is useless due to the headrest not folding up correctly and is a safety hazard for anyone to sit in it. I bought this vehicle for the purpose of having all available seats to be used for our family and now we have one seat that cannot be used. No matter how many times we tried to push it up or folding the seat all the way down and then back up it still does not lock into place on the headrest. We have did research and many people have had the same issue and have not been able to get it fixed even after taking it to a repair service or dealer. This needs to be a serious recall and should be fixed if so many others have had the same issues.
