IT WAS MY NEPHEW CAR, DRIVING MY MOTHER. MY MOTHER WAS INJURED WITH INTERNAL BLEEDING, FRACTURES, AND 1/3-1/2 OF HER BODY BRUISED. SHE SAYS THE SEAT BELT DIDNT LOCK, AND SHE FLEW UP A BIT FROM HER SEAT. SHE HAD A HUGE BRUISE UNDER HER THIGH TOO. SHE WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. MY NEPHEW HAD LITTLE BRUISING IN THE DRIVER SEAT. THE OTHER CAR THAT WAS INVOLVED, THE DRIVER WAS OK.. AND WALKING TOO. MY ISSUE IS DOES THIS CAR HAVE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SEAT BELT NOT LOCKING IN A CRASH? PLEAS
THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE, ISABEL HUERTA WAS STRUCK AND KILLED BY HER OWN VEHICLE WHEN THE TRANSMISSIONS SUDDENLY SLIPPED FROM PARK TO REVERSE. THE TRANSMISSION HAS A DESIGN FLAW THAT ALLOWS THE SHIFTER TO BE PLACED IN A "FALSE PARK" POSITION. SHE WAS SWEPT UNDER THE VEHICLE BY THE OPEN DOOR, AND WAS CRUSHED TO DEATH BY HER OWN VEHICLE. CAR WAS REAR ENDED AND SHOVED INTO ANOTHER CAR WHILE WAITING AT A RED LIGHT. FRONT AND REAR END CRUSHED, BUMPER CAME OFF, RADIATOR AND FRONT END DAMAGE, WINDSHIELD BROKEN. AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY.

IT ACCELERATES SUDDENLY, MOST OFTEN WHEN BRAKING FROM A HIGH SPEED (LIKE IN RUSH HOUR), BUT ONE TIME IT ACCELERATED AND I HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. NO DAMAGE (I GUESS BECAUSE THE SPEEDS WERE LOW). NOW I HAVBE TO DRIVE WITH MY HAND ON THE SHIFTER SO I CAN SLIP IT INTO NEUTRAL IF IT ACCELERATES SUDDENLY. IT ALMOST ALWAYS HAPPENS ON THE FREEWAY, EVEN IF I'M PARKED IN RUSH HOUR. IT ALMOST ALWAYS HAPPENS WHEN BRAKING FROM A HIGH SPEED (RUSH HOUR AGAIN).

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED LEG, CHEST, BACK AND HEAD INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED.
