Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2018 PACIFICA PLUG-IN HYBRID is electrical system with 81 filings, followed by hybrid propulsion system (73) and engine (63). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 1 active recall campaign, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.

NHTSA currently has 3 investigation files overlapping the 2018 PACIFICA PLUG-IN HYBRID, and 2 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. I have a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.  I purchased it brand new in 2018.  This van has had sooo many problems, it has been in and out of the shop, countless recalls.  Last year it was in the shop for almost the entire year, I think I had possession of the van for less than 3 months of the year.  I just brought my van in for a recall related to the hybrid battery and it was returned to me in December, within 2 weeks there were check engine lights on and when I googled the code that was showing I found a ton of blogs about how people had the same recall done and within a short period of time this code came up and it meant the hybrid battery needs to be replaced.  I reached out to the dealer and brought it in to get looked at.  After a couple weeks I was told that the replacement of the battery would not be covered under the recall since part of the recall solution is testing the battery, and it tested good.  I literally had only had the van back for 2 weeks.  And I have countl

On [XXX], my vehicle produced a large red wrench and a turtle warning on a busy highway and I was forced to pull to the side with my [XXX] son in the car, as the vehicle lost motive power. It was towed to the dealer and after several days, they told me the issue was due to normal wear and tear in the transmission. I had to escalate to a service manager to even get a diagnosis after 5 days in the shop. I believe my transmission issue is due to a failure of the fix implemented in the 03A/NHTSA 23V-010 recall. It has been documented that the software update did not fix the issue. My vehicle experienced the exact series of failures described in the recall. Chrysler is refusing to fix my vehicle, even though they had extended the warranty on my Pacifica to unlimited miles/unlimited years because of all of the transmission issues the model has experienced. I would appreciate it if someone could look into this and Chrysler's unwillingness to stand behind their products and provide fixe

I have a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid which has had multiple recalls for the battery causing fires with no resolution. The NHTSA website said to submit a complaint "If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner". The most recent recall was in July without resolution but the battery has been recalled multiple times over the last few years without actual fix being done.

The unresolved recall with no remedy stems from an earlier recall is entering its fourth month with no further communications from the manufacturer about the status of the remedy. There has been no compensation provided to car owners with increased carrying costs due to the manufacturing failures, decreased car valuation due to repeated failed attempts to remedy the same recall, nor indirect costs of extended stress and fear. I am unable to park my car by my house due to the fire risk, which has required me to buy monthly parking passes. I am unable to charge my car, which has caused increased gas costs. I previously paid to install a level 2 charger in my home, which I am unable to use. Additionally a concerning electrical noise has started to occur when starting the car or long after turning the car off. I am continually anxious about driving this car with my children, but I have no other choice to continually put all of us at risk. Jul 18,2024 Manufacturer Recall Number73B
