HE WAS ABLE TO RESUME OPERATION WITH EXTREME CAUTION. THE MANUFACTURER AND AUTHORIZED DEALER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE MALFUNCTION. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THIS TIME. I PURCHASED A 1994 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER IN 1998. EVERY SUMMER THE AIR CONDITIONING HAS FAILED. A CHRYSLER TECHNICIAN INFORMED ME THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING COMPONENT IN THE 1994 NEW YORKER. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER CORP. TO INQUIRE IF THERE IS INDEED A PROBLEM, AND IF OTHER OWNERS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM THEIR ANSWER WAS NO. AFTER VISITING THE COMPLAINT SECTION OF THIS SITE, I SEE THAT IS NOT THE CASE.
