The 2004CHRYSLERLHS carries 3 consumer safety complaints in NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation database for this specific model-year cohort. Within that volume, owners reported 0 crashes, 0 fires, 0 injuries, and 0 fatalities. No NCAP 5-star crash-test rating is available for this model year in the federal database.
Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2004 LHS is engine and engine cooling:engine with 1 filings, followed by power train:automatic transmission (1) and electrical system:starter assembly:solenoid (1). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.
NHTSA currently has 88 investigation files overlapping the 2004 LHS, and 7 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. YOUR CHOICE FOR THE TYPE OF CAR DID NOT LIST THE PACIFICA. I CHECKED LHS WHICH IS WWRONG. THE CAR THAT IS GIVING US A PROBLEM IS A CHRYSLER PACIFICA 2004. THREE MONTHS AGO THE PACIIFICA HAD A STALLING PROBLEM, IT WOULD STALL WHEN WE WOULD SLOW DOWN FOR A RED LIGHT . AFTER TWO TRIES IT WAS FIXED A WEEK AGO SO WHO KNOWS WHETHER IT HAS BEEN FIXED. A SOLENOID-LINEAR IACV WAS REPLACED. WE ALSO HAVE A STARTING PROBLEM. WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENS, NO LIGHTS, THE ENGINE DOESN'T TURN OVER. IF YOU WAIT 15 MINUTES OR MORE THE CAR WILL START UP. THE INCIDENTS ARE INCREASING FROM ONCE A WEEK TO EVERY DAY. THE BATTERY HAS BEEN CHECKED AND IT IS OKAY. *AK
