I WAS LEAVING WORK AND STARTED MY CAY AND WENT TO PUT IT IN REVERSE AND NOTHING HAPPEN. IT WOULD NOT COME OUT OF PARK. THE GEAR WAS LOCKED IN PARK . I CALLED A TOW TRUCK, AND THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER INFORMED ME THAT THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE GEAR SHIFT FOR CHRYSLER 300S .I CALL THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT "YES THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THAT PARTICULAR PART, BUT NOT ON MY YEAR VEHICLE. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY NOT MY YEAR MODEL. IF ITS A PROBLEM IN OTHER YEAR MODEL, THEN IT MAKES SENSE THAT IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANY YEAR MODEL 300. THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO THIS HAS HAPPENED TO UNEXPECTED, AND I DON'T FEEL THE DEALERSHIP IS BEING FAIR TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE 2005 300 AWD MODEL. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. I WAS DRIVING AS USUAL, WENT TO MY GRANDMOTHERS HOUSE. STAYED ABOUT 20 MINUTES. WHEN I LEFT I STARTED THE CAR, WENT TO PUT IT IN GEAR AND NOTHING . IT WOULD NOT COME OUT OF GEAR. I HAD IT TOWED MONDAY AND THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER INFORMED ME THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL IN THE GEAR SHIFT ON OTHER YEAR CHRYSLER 300. I CALLED A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT YES IT HAD BEEN A RECALL ON THAT PARTICULAR PART BUT NOT ON MY YR VEHICLE WHICH IS A 2005. IF ITS A PROBLEM IN OTHER YR 300'S THEN WHY NOT MINE. OBVIOUSLY IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANY YEAR IF ITS ALREADY HAD A RECALL ON OTHER YEAR AND THE SAME CAR. THEY NEED TO DO A RECALL ON ALL. I LOOKED IT UP AND THERE WERE ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO THIS HAS HAPPENED TO AND UNEXPECTED. MY MECHANIC SAID WHEN HE TOOK OUT THE PART, SPRINGS AND PIECES FELL OUT THE OPEN PART IN THE BOTTOM OF THE PART THAT HE REMOVED. I WAS TOLD TO SAVE MY RECEIPT AND IF THEY DO DECIDE TO RECALL, I CAN GET A REFUND. *TR

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET WHEN THE CAR SLOWED DOWN EVEN THOUGH THE RPM'S WENT UP AS I TRIED TO ACCELERATE. I BROUGHT THE CAR IN AND THE VALVE PUMP IN THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACE. ONE WEEK LATER THE CAR FAILED AGAIN IN THE SAME MANNER. THE SECOND TIME I HAD TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED. HAD THE TRAFFIC BEEN DIFFERENT OR SOMEONE WITH LESS EXPERIENCE BEEN DRIVING, IT COULD HAVE EASILY RESULTED IN A FATALITY OR INJURY. THERE WAS NO WAY A DRIVER COULD AVOID AN ACCIDENT FROM THE REAR AT THAT POINT. *TR

DURING A ROUTINE TIRE ROTATION I WAS ADVISED THAT THE SEAL BETWEEN THE TIRE AND WHEEL WAS FAILING ON ALL 4 WHEELS AS A RESULT OF CORROSION OCCURRING ON THE MAG TYPE WHEEL. THE FAILURE WAS TEMPORARILY REPAIRED BY SANDING THE WHEEL AND RESEALING. COMMENT WAS MADE THAT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED. IT IS LIKELY THIS WILL CONTINUE TO OCCUR AS DUE TO BRINE SOLUTION AND ROAD SALT USED DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. FRONT RIGHT WHEEL MAKES LOUD BANGING SOUND. STARTED WHEN THE CAR HAD ABOUT 70,000 MILES ON IT. THEN CAME A HORRIBLE SQUEAKING SOUND. THIS OCCURS CONSTANTLY WHEN DRIVING AND ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL. I REPLACED THE LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHING IN JUNE. THEY WERE COMPLETLEY GONE AND MADE THE WHEELS HAVE A LOT OF PLAY .
