Driving on highway at 40mph while towing a trailer the rear tires briefly locked up, then the Check Engine Light came on and vehicle went into limp mode. Dealer confirmed transmission valve body issue. Same problem as recalled on earlier model year vehicles. Seems like 2023-2025 vehicles should be added to the original recall to ensure support and long-term warranty protection.

I have been experiencing the "SHIFT TO PARK" issue that GM Vehicles have been experiencing. My 2320 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD High Country is not on the Recall for this issue, and I have approached my local dealer about it. I have not been able to fully addressed that issue yet, because I am dealing with a failed Transmission Valve Body that is covered under my drivetrain warranty, but not the GM recall for the 10L100 Allison Transmissions (GM N242454441). I undoubly have faulty parts/components contributing to this issue the fails to completely allow my truck to shift to park and allow me to completely turn the truck off and leave the vehicle.

TRANSMISSION UNEXPECTEDLY DOWN SHIFTED HARD. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED- HIGH RPM/LOW SPEED/HIGH TRANSMISSION TEMPS. DEALER STATED THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS TRANSMISSION - CONTROL VALVE BODY. TRANSMISSION DOWN SHIFTED HARD CAUSING REAR TIRES TO CHIRP. FORCE ON DOWN SHIFT WAS INTENSE AT 25MPH. IT WAS SO INTENSE MY WIFE AND I THOUGHT OUR VEHICLE WAS REAR-ENDED. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN SITTING AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR FIVE WEEKS NOW. THERE WERE NO WARNING LAMPS, MESSAGES OR OTHER SYMPTOMS PRIOR TO FAILURE. The 2023 Chevy High Country Diesel vehicle for 89,000 has failed tremendously, without any warning whatsoever. I've had my vehicle serviced on a 6 to 8 weeks bases at the dealership. on March 28, 2025 I was driving in SD and the truck just failed all the suddenly. The information stated to shift to neutral and restart which I did. The truck never started and had to be towed. The first diagnosis was the high pressure fuel pump which contaminated the entire fuel systems with metal shavings. Thereby, the CP4 failed and damage all components of the fuel system costing 11,750.00 for the repair. In addition to this, during further inspecting the shop informed me the engine camshaft and lifter were also an issued and contributed to the dilemma. I then got General Motors involved informing them that now way possible this should have transpired with a new truck having only 126,000 miles. I stated this is nothing for a diesel engine and something was not adding up. At the time I wasn't aware of

We bought a Chevrolet Silverado from 2023 as a new car in October 2024. It is an imported vehicle, as we live in Germany. After 7146km we broke down on the highway on [XXX] with engine damage. There were no signs or warnings beforehand. The Chevrolet simply stalled while driving and indicated that the start/stop button should be pressed. However, this had no effect. The whole vehicle came to a standstill. Not even the wheels were still rolling. A call to the seller (GeigerCars in Munich/Germany) immediately revealed that it was probably engine damage, as the problem is known. The vehicle was then towed to the seller's workshop and has now been there for over 5 weeks without spare parts, as according to the seller these are not supplied by GM. We have not yet received a rental car or anything similar and have to rent a car every week at our own expense. We have not received any help so far. A lawyer has already been called in. Vehicle went into limp mode (max 3rd gear and about 45mph) while entering the interstate pulling a 30' 5th wheel camper. Luckily was in a construction zone so the speed limits was posted at 55 so no one took me out. Got off the next offramp and took vehicle to Chevy dealership and they said a Control Solenoid Valve Body in the transmission failed. All parts on nationwide backorder with no approximation of updated part. Looked into this online and it looks like it's been an issue for 4 years plus
