General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Blazer, Blazer EV, Equinox, and GMC Terrain vehicles. The door strikers may fracture, resulting in the door opening unexpectedly.
My 2024 Chevy Equinox went into limp mode on 2-15-26 and gave me engine codes P228C and P0089. I encountered limp mode once before this date but no check engine light went on. It lost acceleration while driving. I took it to Henna Chevrolet in Austin, TX and they told me that I am outside of the warranty window even though the vehicle has less than 60K miles. They told me that it would have been under the basic 36,000 mile warranty.
The AEB feature is very sensitive and has often activated when there was no good reason. For instance, it has activated a few times while moving slowly in heavy traffic. Additionally, the feature frequently activates when reversing out of a parking spot or garage, especially when the weather is rainy. In one instance during light rain, the car slammed to a halt more than five times while trying to back out of a parking spot, and there were no obstacles anywhere near the vehicle. I believe that this feature has nearly caused several accidents and has made me feel less safe while operating the vehicle. A software solution has been implemented for the 2026 model year, but not for the older models.
We are leasing a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV. We like the car, however there is a safety issue that has continually occurring. There is a very strong reflection on the windshield from the materials that make up the dashboard. It can occur in bright sun but also on bright cloudy days. I want to be clear, I am not being blinded by the sun in my eyes but rather the dash reflecting onto the Windshield and obscuring my vision. Iâve had two close calls because of this. I mentioned it to the Chevy service lady when I had an appointment and she said her boyfriend had exactly the same problem with his Equinox EV. He had to put a carpet piece on the dash to stop the obscuring reflection.

At 5 am in the morning the car suddenly failed and indicated it was an engine or transmission failure in the middle of a four lane major intersection in a downtown area. It was dangerous due to the darkness, and poor visibility. I had to abandon the vehicle as it was dangerous to stay with it while waiting for police. I could have been injured (as could others) due to its sudden failure in the intersection of a busy roadway. Chevrolet dealership states it is the fuel pump driver module. The car is currently at the dealership for repair. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure until the car suddenly lost power. Once it lost power the engine light lit up and shortly after I had exited the vehicle, I began receiving messages from "On Star" telling me that there were engine or transmission problems. Meanwhile I stood in the pouring rain in an unsafe neighborhood, leaning out into traffic to try and stop cars from running head on into my c

Having issues with the windshield wipers clearing rain when driving and multiple camera malfunctions that I have an appointment to have both checked on 12/2. Wiper stops more than 4 inches from the edge of the window which I could probably just deal with, but when driving it pulls water anywhere from 3-8 inches further across the windshield making it very hard to see when it rains harder or you drive faster. I have owned more than 15 vehicles and never experienced anything making it difficult to see during inclement weather. The other issue is the cameras when backing up or going forward will malfunction for a day or two, then be good for a few weeks and malfunctions again sporadically. Have video of windshield wipers clearing rain issues, but it wonât let me submit, so if you want I can email. Pictures donât show issue as well.

My 2024 Equinox was returned to the dealership on approximately October 1, 2025, due to a check engine light related to the torque converter. I required a rental vehicle during this time. I picked up my vehicle on October 10, 2025, and all repairs were covered under my extended warranty. I was informed that my rental reimbursement would be issued once I submitted the required paperwork. My safety and the safety of my grandchildren were put at risk loss of power and control-stalling, in ability to accelerate in traffic, gear slippage and over heating Given the known history of torque converter issues in the Equinoxâdating back as early as 2005âit is disheartening that GM continues to sell vehicles at premium prices while failing to properly support the customers who purchase them.
High pressure fuel pump
As I was parked with the car running, my 2024 Equinox suddenly shut down and the check engine light came on. I tried to start it, but it didnât. Someone tried to jump the battery, thinking it was that, but it wasnât. I had it towed to the dealership and after 2 days they said the Fuel Pump Power Control Module needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, GM did not have the part, but the dealership found one in another state and we had to wait several days for it to be mailed to them. After a week, once the part was replaced, they tried to start the car and realized that the original issue fried the battery, so they had to replace that as well. I was told that they had seen several customers with the same issue and wouldnât be surprised if GM eventually issues a recall. They also said they couldnât be sure the replacement part wouldnât have the same issue. I did some research and found that GM has had this issue with 2019 - 2024 vehicles. The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox equipped with Continental Tires, Tire Line: Crosscontact RX, Tire Size: 275/40/R21, DOT Number: IVY03HFMJ0224. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact briefly felt violent vibrations coming from the vehicle before the vehicle suddenly veered sharply to the right, slightly leaving the roadway, resulting in damage to the passengerâs side front wheel and tire. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle with an unstated failure with the tires. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 82,045.
