DRIVER WAS ABLE TO TURN OFF THE IGNITION TO STOP THE VEHICLE, AVOIDING A CRASH. A MECHANIC UNHOOKED THE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM. THE DEALER WAS CALLED ABOUT THE PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK

STARTED UP CAR AND GOT UP TO 70MPH, AND IT STARTED SMOKING AGAIN IN THE SAME AREA. THE SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE IN THE AIR BAG AREA. *AK
