NHTSA currently has 10 investigation files overlapping the 2005 CTS-V, and 1 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. PASSENGER AIRBAG OCCUPANT SENSOR/MODULE IS FAULTY. AFTER A WHILE, THE MAT KINKS, BENDS, OR FOLDS. DUE TO THIS IT LOSES CONNECTION AND TRIGGERS A "SERVICE AIRBAG SOON", DISABLING THE AIRBAG SYSTEM UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS FIXED. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM AS IN NHTSA RECALL #10V644000, BUT FOR SOME REASON MY CAR IS NOT COVERED. IT REQUIRES REPLACEMENT WITH THE SAME GM PART NUMBER (19124390).

THIS IS THE SECOND COMPLAINT RE MOTOR MOUNT ( REFERENCE NO. 10732081). 6/23/2015 REPLACED LEFT SIDE MOTOR MOUNT DUE TO CLUNKING ON ACCELERATION. ON 6/28/2016 I TOOK THE CAR TO THE REPAIR FACILITY FOR THE CLUNKING, NOT THINKING IT COULD POSSIBLY BE A MOTOR MOUNT PROBLEM AGAIN. I HAVE SPENT $1006.63 TO REPAIR A PROBLEM I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF. I HAVE SEEN THE TORN MOUNTS.

THE CLUTCH ON THE CADILLAC CTS V WENT AFTER 40,000 MILES. WHEN IT GETS COLD OUTSIDE THE IT CAN BECOME STICKY AND NOT FULLY USABLE. I THINK IT MIGHT BE THE HYDRALIC FLUID IN THE CLUTCH. IT SHOULD NOT GO BAD EVERY 40,000 MILES CAN LEAD TO POSSIBLE CRASH IF THE CLUTCH DOES NOT ENGAGE. I AM LUCKY HAVE NOT BEEN IN A CRASH DUE TO THE PROBLEMS I AM HAVING WITH IT.

Mileage: 40,000
