BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2026 X6, X7, X5, and X5 Plug-In Hybrid vehicles. The instrument panel may have been manufactured incorrectly and prevent the passenger-side air bag from deploying properly.

The contact stated that the further the vehicle was away from an object, the greater the dark shadow was cast. The contact stated that the closer the headlight was to an object, the dark shadow was smaller. The contact stated that the failure obstructed the vision of the left side of the roadway while driving at night. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the headlight failure was acknowledged.
