BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2023 S 1000 RR motorcycles. The motorcycle hand brake lever may not function correctly, reducing brake performance.

In a sunny Sunday , S1000RR BlackStorm, 3207 miles. Riding I stop a in a awesome spot for pictures but when I turn off the key, the starter activates, I turned on the key and bike turned on automatically, I press the kill switch , the starter activates again. I press the starter and bike turn on. I continue to home 26 km from the place of situation. When I arraigo home I turned off the switch and bike turned off. Now bike won’t start. Full of gas, Battery full, fuse of 40 starter healthy, when I press the starter red button, I hear a click near the left side , near starter, but won’t start. No messages in the panel. The safety issue is that pressing the kill switch, moto remains starting activate, I was so scared, since in any gas spill pressing the kill switch to turn off it starter activate is a very dangerous situation. :(

The contact owns a 2023 BMW S 1000 RR. The contact stated that on four separate occasions while riding approximately 80 MPH, the contact attempted to accelerate; however, the motorcycle stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the roadway and restarted the motorcycle after several minutes. The motorcycle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,500.
