FINAL DRIVE GEAR OIL LEAKING ON REAR BRAKES. HAD SHAFT SEALS REPLACED TWICE. NOW BMW DEALER (GO AZ MOTORCYCLES) TELLS ME I NEED TO REPLACE THE WHOLE REAR DRIVE ASSEMBLY!! ALSO, CLUNKING NOISE FROM REAR WHEEL WHEN ROTATING IT ON CENTER STAND.

20150724SERVICE BRAKES

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 BMW K1200LT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE ABS AND BRAKE FAILURE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR BRAKES FAILED TO OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO AVOID A CRASH BY ENGAGING THE FRONT BRAKES. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM MODULATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. MA 09/25
