FUEL PUMP SEIZED AND FUEL TANK CORRODED INTO HOLES DUE TO AN INCOMPATIBILITY WITH ETHANOL FUELS. INFORMATION ON BLOGS AND OTHER PERSONAL CONVERSATIONS HAS SHOWN THIS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM. OWNERS FORCED TO UTILIZE EXPENSIVE FUEL SUPPLIMENTS IN ORDER TO STAVE OFF DAMAGE. NEED MORE PERMANENT SOLUTION AS AMERICAN VEHICLES DO NOT SUFFER THESE ISSUES AS DESIGNED FOR ALCOHOL CONTAINING FUELS. STATIONARY - SUDDENLY WOULD NOT START ONE DAY WITH FUEL PUMP SEIZED. REPLACED $400 PUMP, THEN PINS IN CONNECTION FOR SENDING UNIT/PUMP CRACKED, NOW TANK BEGAN LEAKING FUEL ONTO ENGINE WITH POTENTIAL FOR FIRE. (DATE IS WHEN TANK BEGAN LEAKING FUEL PUMP FAILED ABOUT 1 YR PRIOR).
