The contact owns a 2014 BMW 750LI. The contact stated while driving at approximately 30 MPH, there was an abnormal gasoline odor of gasoline inside the cabin of the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in the driveway at his residence, he smelled the gasoline odor. Additionally, while the vehicle was parked in a parking lot to run a short errand, the contact returned and saw gasoline dripping underneath the vehicle. The contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic who determined that the vehicle was leaking gasoline from the fuel rail. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 87,000.

The contact owns a 2014 BMW 750LI. The contact stated while the vehicle was receiving a routine oil change, the check engine warning light illuminated. The failure was diagnosed by an independent mechanic as a PCV valve failure that need to be replaced and properly sealed. The contact stated that the hoses were brittle and fuel was leaking. The contact stated that the independent mechanic also received a message that the vehicle was running lean. The vehicle was not repaired. The independent mechanic informed the contact of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V119000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnosis or repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The approximate failure mileage was 101,000.

I have issue with fuel pump or fuel rail.. car is only 7 years old i smell gas on the car

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WALKER BMW LOCATED AT 6655 COLISEUM BLVD, ALEXANDRIA, LA 71303 TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE VALVE STEM SEALS WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE ISSUE IS WITH BOTH FRONT DOORS INTERMITTENTLY NOT OPENING WITH THE DOUBLE DOOR PULL WHEN STOPPED AND PARKED AFTER THE AUTO LOCKING SPEED ENGAGED THE DOOR LOCKS. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THIS SAFETY ISSUE IN THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGERS BEING TRAPPED INSIDE THE CAR IN AN EMERGENCY.
