20250318ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:ANTI-THEFT:CONTROL MODULE

The contact owns a 2013 BMW 750LI. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the door failed to open. The contact attempted to unlock the knob and open the door. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact lowered the window, the contact put the key in the door, and was able to open the door from the outside. On a separate occasion, after the contact was dining with his wife, the contact's wife attempted to open the door; however, the door failed to open from the inside. The contact attempted to lower the window and open the door with the key; however, the passenger’s side door failed to open. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired for the failure. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 120,510.

My car keeps shutting off completely in the middle of driving on highway or any road it’s becoming a safety risk this car once had an open recall for the same issue but I didn’t receive memo but according to bmw handbook emissions recall don’t expire for NJ registered vehicles but BMW won’t honor it

I hit a mild pothole in June and got a sidewalk bubble. Had the tire replaced. Now I’m noticing another bubble in the replaced tire, and in the other from driver side tire. After researching I’ve discovered thousands of forums where this particular brand and tire is known for this issue. These tires are over $500 apiece.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000.
