The rear cross traffic alert system on this vehicle (2025 BMW X4) does not work properly even when all systems are turned on (check marked) . No warning visual or audio for example is given when backing out of parking spaces, driveways, etc. and a vehicle is crossing behind your intended path either from right to left or from left to right. We are familiar with how rear cross traffic works as we have it on our 2018 Subaru Outback. This system gives the driver a false sense of security and may lead to serious backing accidents.
