NHTSA currently has 34 investigation files overlapping the 1995 325. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. RE: RECALL CAMPAIGN NO 14V-428 I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM BMW IN SEPT 2014 REGARDING FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL BMW DEALER A DOZEN TIMES IN THE PAST 5 MONTHS BUT THEY KEEP TELLING ME THAT THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE. THEY SUPPOSEDLY PUT ME ON A WAITING LIST 3 MONTHS AGO. HOWEVER, THEY CANNOT TELL ME WHERE I STAND ON THE WAITING LIST AND FOR HOW MUCH LONGER IT MAY TAKE. *TR

20040504VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:ACCELERATOR PEDAL

CONSUMER'S WIFE TOOK VEHICLE TO THE CAR WASH. WHEN THE JOB WAS DONE SHE ENTERED THE VEHICLE, PUT IT IN DRIVE, AND WITHOUT PLACING FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR THE VEHICLE TOOK OFF, RIGHT OUT INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. CONSUMER PUT FOOT ON THE BRAKES, BUT VEHICLE KEPT RACING. CONSUMER WAS FINALLY ABLE TO BRING VEHICLE UNDER CONTROL. CONSUMER STATED THAT HIS WIFE WAS ALMOST KILLED BECAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT. CONSUMER FELT THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING DEFECTIVE IN THE ACCELERATORS OF THOSE VEHICLES. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC, WHO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SPRAYED ON THE UNDERSIDE, AND SOME OF THE SPRAY AFFECTED THE ACCELERATOR. *AK

THE CONSUMER FEELS THE GAS PEDAL AND BRAKE PEDALS ARE TOO CLOSE TOGETHER. THIS HAS CAUSED THE DRIVER TO PRESS THEM BOTH AT THE SAME TIME WHICH CAUSED SUDDEN ACCELERATION. THE CONSUMER ALSO FEEL THE BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT SHOULD BE ADJUSTABLE. *MR *NLM

THE AIRBAG MALFUNCTIONED, WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND HAS REMAINED ON CONSTANTLY. I HAVE SPOKEN TO SEVERAL OTHER BMW OWNERS OF THIS MAKE AND YEAR MODEL WHO HAVE TOLD ME THAT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE. APPARENTLY THERE IS A SENSOR CONNECTED TO THE SEATBELT WHICH OFTEN GOES BAD, WHICH THEN TRIGGERS THE DASH WARNING LIGHT. *AK
