TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET CORVETTE. THE CONTACT STATED HE PREVIOUSLY HAD ISSUES WITH THE STEERING WHEEL INDEPENDENTLY LOCKING WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 04V060000 (STEERING: COLUMN LOCKING: ANTI-THEFT DEVICE). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED WITHIN FIVE YEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED NOR DIAGNOSED FOR THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED WITH THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKING WHILE DRIVING AND THE FAILURE POTENTIALLY CAUSING A CRASH.
