Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact located the recall for NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service brakes, Hydraulic). While driving at 55 MPH, another vehicle passed him on double yellow lines, and the anti-lock brakes locked up, and the vehicle slid and crashed into a 2008 Chevrolet. There were no reported injuries, fire, or airbag deployment. A police report was filed. The ABS light and traction control warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was emailed, but there was no response. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000.
