Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle out of the garage and driving the vehicle, the contact later noticed that the dashboard was melting and was sticky, causing a reflection on the windshield and a glare. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the contact was informed that the dashboard needed to be replaced. The mechanic related the failure to Toyota Campaign Number: ZE6. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the same assessment was made. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the campaign had expired. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000.
