Complaint Description
The contact's son owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while her son was driving approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle stalled with the "Service Brakes System" message displayed. The contact stated that the failure recurred and that the vehicle was unable to accelerate over 40 MPH. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the brake master cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained at the dealer awaiting the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,500.
