Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH and coming to a stop, the check engine warning light and traction control warning light illuminated. Additionally, a message indicating that the brakes had failed, and the vehicle could only drive at 40 MPH was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the brake master cylinder was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred while driving and coming to a complete stop. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the same repair was completed; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and sent the parts to the dealer for repair. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.
