NEW 1992 TOYOTA 3VZE LONG BED TRUCK BLEW THE HEADGASKET THREE TIMES, ABOUT 6 MONTHS APART & AS IT WAS A "CAMPAIGN" & NOT A RECALL THE DEALERSHIPS WOULD NOT FIX IT UNTIL I CALLED TOYOTA MFG. EACH REPAIR, I HAD TO PAY APPROX $1K TO $2K AND THE FIRST TWO TIMES THEY USED THE SAME DEFECTIVE GASKET! I HAD ALSO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE STEERING FROM THE DAY I BOUGHT IT AS IT WILL NOT MAKE A SHARP LEFT TURN WHEN MOVING SLOW, MOSTLY IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE. I WAS TOLD ALL 4X4'S ARE LIKE THAT. I KNOW BETTER THAN THAT! MY 66 LAND ROVER & 78 LAND CRUISER DO NOT HAVE A STEERING PROBLEM IN ANY GEAR AT ANY SPEED. IT FINALLY STOPPED BLOWING HEADGASKETS, BUT IT IS STILL USELESS OFFROAD DUE TO THE STEERING ! MECHANICAL FAILURES ON A NEW VEHICLE ARE BAD ENOUGH, BUT THE TREATMENT & LIES FROM THE DEALERSHIPS GUARANTEE THAT I WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND ANYTHING TOYOTA AGAIN ! *JB
