Hello, on October 14th 2024 I reached out to Toyota over a “engine maintenance required” message on my dash along with a check engine light. I took it to the local toyota dealership in Downey CA. After testing the Engine coolant bypass valve B Control circuit high failed. Toyota replaced the valve on October 21st 2024. Issuing me a 1year/12,000 mile warranty. On Thursday January 15th 2026 the drive start control malfunction warning light along with a P26AE error code displayed. Upon testing the engine coolant bypass valve B control circuit high failed again. Speaking with Toyota my vehicle VIN is not part of the CSP service campaign they have for 19-23 Corolla models. I spoke with Toyota Corporate and they couldn’t/wouldn’t help. This is a severe safety risk as the valve failed at a moments notice with no warning or symptoms. Additionally it can lead to engine stall and catastrophic damage, risking other drivers if engine loses power. This is an ongoing and recurring issue wi

Vehicle information: - Make/Model: 2022 Toyota Corolla - In-service date: 08/18/2022 My vehicle sustained significant wiring damage caused by rodents. Toyota has denied warranty and financial assistance, characterizing the issue as an “outside influence.” However, according to what I read online, modern vehicles —including Toyota models—use soy-based or bio-based wiring insulation, which is widely documented to attract rodents. The damage affected critical electrical wiring, creating potential safety hazards including loss of vehicle function and increased fire risk. This is not merely cosmetic damage but impacts essential vehicle systems. The foreseeability of rodent attraction due to wiring materials raises concerns of a design-related safety defect and failure to adequately warn consumers. Toyota has s

My engine stalled while driving. My low tire pressure light came on and an hour or so later I was turning left at a light. My left turn signal was on. Suddenly my car stalled and the message that stated Put in park, steering power low showed on screen. Put car in park and restarted and it started right up. Dealer said no codes and could not replicate. Only 18,000 miles on car. Huge safety issue!!!!!

2022 Toyota Corolla Hybrid Touchscreen/Infotainment Display randomly shut down while driving without warning and no longer functions. This could not be reset by holding the power button or disconnecting the vehicle battery. The backup camera still works, and the radio can be heard when the power button is pressed, but the display remains on a black screen and none of the controls on the steering wheel or headunit work. At night, the lights on the buttons for the multimedia display turn on and off every 10 seconds which is extremely distracting and has the potential to cause an accident. This defective part serves as a safety issue, as this is where critical maintenance and hybrid battery power related errors displayed. In addition there are many critical controls locked behind the screen related to door locks, hybrid battery usage, and other vehicle controls, as well as personal data that may now be at risk and unable to be able to be deleted. 20251013VISIBILITY/WIPER

Exterior headlight design is a big safety issue when driving at night. The low beams do not offer enough lighting when going around turns or hills. Even on flat roads it is not enough and very dangerous. The high beams help but are also not providing the visibility needed at night . When raining and using low beams at night it’s like driving in the dark! Please redesign!

Hi, I recently relocated from Vancouver, Canada to Seattle, Washington, and I am in the process of importing my Canadian-purchased 2022 Toyota Corolla into the United States. I have already contacted Toyota Canada, but they informed me that they do not issue compliance letters for vehicles distributed under Canadian regulations. I then contacted Toyota USA, who confirmed that this matter falls under NHTSA’s responsibility and advised me to request the compliance letter directly from you. Therefore, I respectfully request that NHTSA to solve this issue so that I may complete the import process in compliance with U.S. regulations. Please advise me on the next steps to obtain this letter, including any required forms or supporting documentation I should provide. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

I was at a red light and when it turned green, I had the clutch in and was in first gear, but as soon as I barely lifted my foot, the car started moving forward on its own. I almost rolled into the car in front of me. At first, I thought maybe it was just me or the shoes but then I noticed the clutch felt like it was getting stuck while pressed. When I tried changing gears, it made a metal-on-metal scratching noise. When I was coming to a stop, the car wouldn’t slow down properly because the clutch wasn’t responding. I couldn’t press it in, and since there were pedestrians nearby, I had to slow the car down by shifting gears without using the clutch and pedestrians got anxious and mad around me because they had to speed up to the safe side, pulled to the side and checked the pedal, thinking maybe something was in the way, but when I pumped it a few times, it started working again. for a moment. Then at another red light, the clutch pedal went soft and wouldn’t engage again. I co
