The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid. The contact stated that while refueling the vehicle, the fuel was spilling from the filler neck onto the ground. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The contact related the failure to TSB: 0220-17 Rev2 (Fuel System). The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.
