TL* - THE CONTACTS OWNS A 2007 SUZUKI BOULEVARD M50. WHILE OPERATING THE MOTORCYCLE WITH A PASSENGER ON THE BACK THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A 90 DEGREE TURN AND A BOLT THAT HELD THE BRAKE CALIPER FELL OFF. THE TRAVEL SPEED WAS 48 MPH. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE DRY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 310. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO REPLACE THE BOLT. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DEALER. HOWEVER, NOTHING WAS DONE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 383 MILES.*AK CONSUMER STATES CALIPER MOUNTING FELL OF UNDER 310 MILES AND WHEN BRAKES APPLIED THERE WERE NO BRAKES. CONSUMER SPOKE WITH SEVERAL MANAGERS OF DIFFERENT MOTORCYCLE SHOPS WHO STATED THAT THE CONSUMER SHOULD NOT HAVE LOST THE BRAKE CALIPER BOLD IF IT WAS INSTALLED CORRECTLY. UPDATE *4/23/07TR UPDATED 05/15/07. *JB

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SUZUKI VZ800. WHILE APPROACHING A 90 DEGREE TURN THE CONTACT APPLIED THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKES AND THE BRAKES FAILED. THE CONTACT WAS FORCED TO DOWN SHIFT AND APPLY THE REAR BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. WHILE DOING SO THE BRAKE CALIPER BECAME DETACHED. THE VEHICLE HAD A 102 POINT INSPECTION PERFORMED ON MARCH 13, 2007, AND THE FAILURE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 310.*AK
