SEAT BELTS:FRONT:BUCKLE ASSEMBLY
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE FRONT SEAT BELT TONGUE WILL NOT LATCH INTO THE BUCKLE AND, IN RARE CASES, EVEN THE LOCKED TONGUE WILL POP OUT BY LOW STRETCHING FORCE. IF THE BUCKLE DOES NOT LATCH COMPLETELY, THE BUCKLE COULD RELEASE WITHOUT PRESSING THE RELEASE BUTTON.

LUCKILY I WAS PARKED. TURNED ON MY CAR TO ROLL UP THE WINDOWS AND SUDDENLY THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT EXPLODED,WITH WHAT LOOKED LIKE AN AIRBAG INSIDE THE SEAT. IT HIT MY ARM CAUSING A BRUISE. THE SEAT IS NOW TORN AND BUSTED.

MY CAR WAS NOT IN MOTION, I WAS SITTING IN A PARKING LOT AND THE CAR WAS NOT IMPACTED BY ANYTHING. THE AIRBAG STRUCK ME ON THE LEFT SIDE AND I GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND WENT INSIDE TO THE ER BECAUSE I WAS ALREADY AT THE HOSPITAL FOR A REGULAR APPOINTMENT. I DID NOT SIT BACK HARD IN THE SEAT, I SIMPLY REACHED BACK FOR MY SEAT BELT AND THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED FROM WITHIN THE DRIVERS

I TURNED THE IGNITION TO ACCESSORY MODE(I DID NOT START THE ENGINE), WITHIN SECONDS MY DRIVER'S SIDE(SEAT) AIRBAG DEPLOYED. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ACCIDENTS IN THE VEHICLE, NOR ANY OTHER DAMAGE THAT WOULD CAUSE AN AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. I HAVE SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES DUE TO THE IMPACT OF THE AIRBAG.
