THE MOTORCYCLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VALVE STEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,800 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,950. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED.

WHEN PUTTING MOTORCYCLE IN FIRST GEAR AND GOING DOWN A SLIGHT DECLINE, VEHICLE WILL JUMP OUT OF FIRST GEAR AND GO INTO NEUTRAL. *AK THE TRANSMISSION HAS JUMPED OUT OF GEAR AT LEAST FIVE TIMES ON THE DECLINE OF A HILL. THERE IS ALSO A FALSE NEUTRAL BETWEEN FOURTH AND FIFTH. *JG
WHEN ACCELERATING AFTER HAVING BEEN AT A COMPLETE STOP MOTORCYCLE HESITATES TO GO OR STALLS OUT COMPLETELY, MAKING IT DIFFCUILT FOR DRIVER TO CONTROL VEHICLE.*AK
THE MOTORCYCLE SLIPS OUT OF FOURTH GEAR AND INTO NEUTRAL AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE PROBLEM IS WORSE WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER OR IN HILLY OR MOUNTAIN TERRAIN. FOURTH GEAR IS ALMOST UNUSABLE IN THOSE CONDITIONS. THE SAFETY CONCERN IS TWO FOLD. IF ATTEMPTING TO PASS ON A HIGHWAY IN FOURTH GEAR IT WILL SLIP OUT AND LEAVE YOU WITH NO ACCELERATION WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC APPROACHING. FOURTH GEAR IS PRACTIALLY USELESS ON HILLS WITH A PAGGENGER THEREFORE LOOSING THE ABILITY TO CLIMB STEEP GRADES SAFELY. THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURED WITH THIS VEHICLE ON TOO MANY OCCASIONS TO COUNT. ONE SITUATION WAS UNDER THE "PASSING CIRCUMSTANCE" AND MANY IN THE STEEP GRADE SITUATIONS.
