The contact owns a 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa (NA). The contact stated while her boyfriend was driving 45 mph, another vehicle intercepted the lane and he depressed the brakes but failed to stop the motorcycle causing him to lose control and then fall off the motorcycle. The contact sustained lesions on her left arm and left leg but declined to seek medical attention. A police report was not filed. The motorcycle was not drivable. The contact towed the motorcycle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the exterior structure to be replaced. The motorcycle was not repaired. The contact recently received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V088000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. Parts distribution disconnect. The failure mileage was approximately 3,200.
