Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Suzuki DL650A, DL650XA, GSX-R1000, GSX-R1000R, and 2018 GSX-S750 motorcycles. During installation, the fuel pump O-ring may have been twisted, reducing the sealing performance and possibly resulting in a fuel leak.

IT APPEARS THERE ARE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ALREADY BUT THIS FIRST PART FOR THE BRAKES/STABILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AREN'T CLASSIFIED AS A RECALL BUT INSTEAD THEY PUT IT AS A CUSTOMER CAMPAIGN. I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A TURN AT AN INTERSECTION, THEN THE BACK TIRE LOCKED UP UNDER BRAKING CAUSING THE REAR OF THE BIKE TO START SLIDING OUT WHICH ULTIMATELY MADE THE BIKE HIGH SIDE IN THE CORNER. THIS CONDITION HAS BEEN FOUND TO BE A ISSUE WITH A LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE APON STARTING THE MOTORCYCLE, WHICH DISABLES THE ABS/STABILITY MANAGEMENT. I ENDED UP BREAKING MY ANKLE IN 3 SPOTS, TORN TENDONS, AND HAVE NERVE DAMAGE, THE DOCTOR SAID MY BOOT WAS THE ONLY THING KEEPING MY FOOT FROM BEING TORN OFF. THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED PRIOR TO ANY KNOWN INFORMATION TO ME ABOUT A PROBLEM IN SEPTEMBER 2019. THE NEXT ISSUE HAS ALSO BEEN DOCUMENTED BUT AGAIN NO INFORMATION WAS GIVEN TO ME ABOUT IT AT ALL, I FOUND ALL THIS INFO OUT AFTER THE ACCIDENT.
