TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SUZUKI DR-Z400SM MOTORCYCLE. THERE IS A FUEL TAP ON THE VEHICLE, WHICH TURNS THE FUEL ON AND OFF. SOMEWHERE IN THE FUEL TAP THERE IS A VACUUM THAT RUNS THE GASOLINE DOWN TO THE CARBURETOR. AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT, THE VACUUM SHUTS DOWN FOR NO APPARENT REASON, WHICH CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO STALL AS IF IT RAN OUT OF GAS. THE STALLING OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH AND WHILE IDLING. THE CONTACT FEELS THAT HE COULD GET REAR ENDED ONCE THE VEHICLE STALLS, WHICH IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THE WEATHER WAS NOT A FACTOR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000. UPDATED 10/14/08 *BF
